Hotel and Travel
PANIC has been alerted that an unauthorized housing company (called hotel “poacher”) has been contacting registered attendees, speakers and exhibitors offering to book hotel rooms for PANIC registrants. This practice, also known as “room pirating,” is a scam that all conference attendees should be aware of in order to avoid passing along personal and financial information. Hotel poachers will claim to be a PANIC “partner” or the “official housing company” and will sometimes ask that your room be paid in full, up front. A one-night deposit isn’t enough; they want it all and for every room you book, when you book.
DO NOT respond to any communication from these companies.
Again, they are not affiliated with PANIC nor are they affiliated with the host hotel, and you should NOT use their services. Please book your hotel room through the San Diego Marriott La Jolla web site. If you are ever unsure whether or not something is legitimate, contact us first before providing your personal information, company information, or any financial information.
Enjoy the modern comforts of the San Diego Marriott La Jolla. The hotel’s spacious guest rooms and suites provide modern amenities with many offer outdoor balconies.
The deadline to book your hotel room reservation is Saturday, April 4, 2020. If you call the hotel directly to book your hotel room reservation, please provide the reservation agent with the code — PANIC.
You’ll surround yourself with the exceptional experiences that can only be found near luminous destinations such as La Jolla Shores, Birch Aquarium, the University of California, San Diego and Westfield UTC shopping mall. Some of the hotel’s amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-panel TVs for your maximum relaxation, a beauty shop, and valet dry cleaning.
With a dramatic coastline featuring phenomenal views, it's no surprise that La Jolla is one of the most popular beach destinations in the U.S. state of California. La Jolla's natural beauty, abundance of activities and ritzy township lifestyle ensure it lives up to its nickname as "the jewel" of San Diego.
Expect mild temperatures and mainly dry weather. Temperatures in April average between 56 and 69 degrees Fahrenheit (13 to 20 degrees Celsius).
